'Valentine's Day' Takes #1 Spot At The Box Office

The A-list (including Taylor Lautner) packed movie Valentine's Day took in $52.4 million this past holiday weekend at claimed the #1 spot at the box office.

Here are a few reviews on the flick - the good and the bad:

LA Times
The veteran Marshall has proved a quick study, serving up the pastiche with panache so the stars mostly shine, the story snippets mostly amuse and you'll barely notice all the empty spots where a plot used to be. Full review here.

Chicago Sun-Times
Valentine's Day is being marketed as a Date Movie. I think it's more of a First-Date Movie. If your date likes it, do NOT date that person again. And if you like it, there may not be a second date. Full review here.

The Onion (A.V. Club)
Explores love in all its myriad forms, from the sickeningly sappy to the cornball to the groaningly precious and obnoxiously cute. Full review here.
