Nationwide Expansion of 'The Runaways' Cancelled (Until Further Notice)

According to @boxofficemojo:
@quiet_soliloquy No missing zero. 'The Runaways' is no longer getting a nationwide release on 4/9, likely due to its poor showing so far.

@ALotMoreofMagic 'The Runaways' lost most of its theaters this weekend, but will be back to around 200 on 4/9. Nationwide expansion canceled
The zero that is being referred to is the fact that The Runaways will open to only 200 theaters come April 9. Larry Richman, a festival film writer, says that the film "drops from 237 to 84 tomorrow, then back up to 200 Apr 9".

Larry goes on to explain:
A lot of factors go into where a limited release is launched. A lot is out of the hands of the distributors & up to the theater owners. When films are released the theaters don't want to take a chance on limited releases from indie studios. They want blockbusters on screens. Sometimes limited releases are just squeezed out by major studio films depending on what comes out that weekend. Theater owners have clout.
Get your voices heard and write to your local movie theater to get this movie to a city near you! From all the reviews I've read from fans on twitter, this movie looks like one that SHOULD NOT be missed - both for the amazing performances by Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning and the unforgettable story of "The Runaways."
